Feed My Starving Children
Today I got to volunteer with Feed My Starving Children, which I have always really enjoyed. Founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. Their process is simple. Monetary donations fund the meal ingredients, volunteers hand-pack the meals, and then the meals are donated to FMSC food partners around the world, where kids are fed and lives are saved. My friend Shelby (National American Miss Wisconsin Junior Teen 2018) invited me to join her and we had a blast. A number of my other pageant friends helped as well and it was great to get together for a wonderful cause.
At the event I was at, there were 259 volunteers and we packed 631 boxes of food. That's 136,296 meals which feeds 373 kids for an ENTIRE year! If you have ever considered volunteering for FMSC, I highly recommend it!
