AHS Walk for Animals 2017
The AHS Walk for Animals is truly an event not to miss! This was my second year participating in this event. I worked hard to raise over $750 in donations, all of which goes to the Animal Humane Society. I am proud to have attained my fundraising goals for the past two years which gave me “Top Walker status. As a result of my fundraising efforts, AHS gave me some really neat prizes including an embroidered fleece and a new dog treat container.
My mom’s college friend Kim came along with her dog Izzy and we brought our basset hound Toots and we all had so much fun! I also got to see so many different breeds of dogs and other animals. The favorite animal I saw was a Corgi puppy. He was so cute and sweet and I got to hold him and snuggle with him! Being the extreme dog lover that I am, I decided to pretty much say “hi” to every dog I saw.
Like I said before, there were so many different breeds of dogs at this fundraiser, including my favorite breed of dogs, Corgis! In addition to dogs, there were other types of animals too…I saw multiple bunnies, cats, birds, pigs, and other animals. Besides getting to see many different types of animals at the Walk, you can also go play games with your pet! I brought Toots to the ball pit and she had to snorkel for treats which was really cute.
It was a beautiful spring day and it was great to see so many people out supporting such a great cause! Hope to see you there next year!
