B.R.A.V.E. (Building Respect and Values for Everyone) is the official national platform and anti-bullying campaign of the Miss Jr. High, High School, and Collegiate America Organization.

Mission:  B.R.A.V.E. promotes Building Respect and Values for Everyone through classroom, library, and community presentations to school-aged children and their parents to create awareness and to promote a bully-free and safe environment. Our mission is to reduce the effects of bullying and awareness of bullying in schools and communities.

Goals and Objectives:

  • To reduce the negative effects of bullying through being kind, courteous, friendly, caring, and respectful to others

  • To raise awareness about bullying in schools, libraries, and communities

  • To raise awareness and promote legislation and policies in schools and communities that promote a bully-free and safe environment for children

  • To teach children to go to an adult or someone they trust when they see someone being bullied

  • To teach children and adults to be stand-byers, not bystanders when bullying is happening

"Ava's Army"

B.R.A.V.E. Bandanas

Kids are visual learners, so I came up with the idea of "Ava's Army" B.R.A.V.E. bandanas. I give these out to elementary-aged kids in my community to tie onto their backpacks as a visual reminder to ALWAYS be kind. As Miss High School America, I plan to continue my partnership with PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center and expand my program on a national level.
